About the venue

Prostora is a non-profit contemporary art gallery in the Vinohrady district, founded by architect Marcela Steinbachová. It occupies the first floor of a former telephone exchange on Blanická Street 9, just above Náměstí Míru - the industrial interior, with its cracked floors and plastered-over openings, is kept as a deliberate part of the space's character. The curatorial programme has a distinctive angle: prominent Czech artists present not their own work, but collections they have assembled from pieces by fellow artists.
