About the venue

Fajtův kopec ski resort sits in Velké Meziříčí in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands at 550 m above sea level. The slope runs 450 m with an 85 m vertical drop, served by two lifts, snowmaking guns and floodlights for evening skiing. On the hilltop stands a 36-metre steel lookout tower shaped like a DNA double helix, built in 2015 to a design by architects Václav Hlaváček and Jáchym Pecht of Studio Acht. In summer the site hosts events including the FAJTFEST metal festival.
