Dvořák Embankment

Prague

About the venue

Dvořákovo nábřeží (Dvořák Embankment) runs along the right bank of the Vltava in the Old Town and was built between 1900 and 1904, named after composer Antonín Dvořák from the very start. Today it functions mainly as a boarding point for river cruise and scheduled boat services. From the lower embankment there are views of the Hradčany skyline and the Letná hillside opposite. A notable detail is the Art Nouveau hydrometric station with a copper dome, still standing across from the Convent of St Agnes, which once recorded the river's water level.
