Prague
PONEC theatre in Prague's Žižkov district is a venue dedicated to contemporary dance and movement theatre. The building dates from 1888 and served as a cinema from 1910 (named after entrepreneur František Ponec); after reconstruction, the organisation Tanec Praha has run the theatre here since 2001. It has no permanent company and presents Czech and international productions; it is the home stage of the TANEC PRAHA and Czech Dance Platform festivals.
