Činoherní klub is a Prague drama theatre founded in 1965 as part of the State Theatre Studio, co-founded by director Ladislav Smoček and dramaturg Jaroslav Vostrý. It is housed in the basement of a 1931 functionalist building on Ve Smečkách street, close to Wenceslas Square. The intimate auditorium seats around 130 and stages Czech drama, Russian classics, and contemporary Anglo-American plays. The theatre was named Theatre of the Year at the Alfréd Radok Awards in 2002 and 2008.
