Little Thief
A Czech heist comedy about a thief returning from prison to his hometown and planning a new crime. Directed by Ondřej Hudečka, the first Czech filmmaker to win at Sundance.
The Black Tower is the sole surviving remnant of a Gothic manor fortress documented since 1351, considered a rare example of lesser-nobility architecture in central Moravia. Of the original four-tower fortification only this 28-metre keep survived; it was rebuilt in Renaissance style in the 16th century and decorated with black-and-white sgraffito, which gave it its name. Today it houses a permanent exhibition of the Vlastivědné muzeum Olomouc on local archaeology and history, while the top floor serves as a small gallery. The surrounding courtyard hosts concerts, open-air screenings and wedding ceremonies.
