About the venue

The Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Ondřejov is the country's leading astronomical research facility, with roots going back to 1898. The campus houses several telescopes, including the largest Czech optical telescope with a 2-metre mirror. The institute occasionally opens its doors to the public for educational events and open days.
