MAOK - Music of Inner Worlds
Slovak musician Maok presents his project "Music of Inner Worlds" in the atmospheric setting of an unfinished Gothic church.
The ruins of a High Gothic Church of the Virgin Mary within the grounds of a former Clarisses monastery. Construction was begun around 1316, most likely by Plichta ze Žerotína, and scholars link the building to the workshop of Petr Parléř. After the monastery fire of 1382 the church was never completed - what survives today is the nearly 20-metre-high chancel, a fragment of the nave with its portal, and a Baroque bell tower added in 1744. The site is freely accessible and regularly hosts concerts, cultural events and wedding ceremonies.
