About the venue

An open-air amphitheatre in Hukvaldy, Moravia, set at the foot of the medieval castle and close to the birthplace of composer Leoš Janáček. It hosts the annual Janáčkovy Hukvaldy festival, dedicated to classical music and opera. The castle ruins rising behind the stage make for a striking natural backdrop.
