Talleen Abu Hanna is a Palestinian-Israeli transgender woman and activist known as the "Beauty from Gaza." Her story of fleeing Gaza on foot to live freely as a trans woman in Tel Aviv was documented by French director Yolande Zauberman in the film of the same name.
Yolande Zauberman is a French documentary filmmaker and director known for her intimate, socially engaged films. Her documentary M (2018) explored sexual abuse survivors in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. She approaches her subjects with a deeply personal camera style.
