Young director Kris (Hannah Einbinder) is tasked with reviving the defunct horror series "Camp Miasma" for a new generation of viewers. In search of inspiration, she travels to the location of the original summer camp. There, in isolation, lives Billy Presley (Gillian Anderson), the acting star of the original series. Professional fascination and creative obsession between the two women gradually develop into electrifying attraction and an intense relationship. As the boundaries between reality, film, and dream blur, a dormant evil awakens at the bottom of the lake. The film premiered at the Cannes festival, where it was awarded the Queer Palm.
