The time is coming for the decisive battle for the survival of Middle-earth. The journey of the individual members of the Fellowship of the Ring is entering its final and crucial phase. The wizard Gandalf, the elf Legolas and the dwarf Gimli hurry with the heir to the throne Aragorn to aid the land of Gondor, which is resisting an enormous army of Sauron. The hobbits Frodo and Sam, accompanied by Gollum, strive to reach deep into the land of Mordor, where they must destroy the magical Ring of Power in the fires of the Mountain of Doom. Only then will the power of the mighty Lord of Darkness Sauron be broken. Will they manage to fulfill the mission of the Fellowship and save Middle-earth? And at what cost?
