Jeff Buckley (1966–1997) was an American singer-guitarist known for his extraordinary vocal range. His debut album Grace (1994) became a cult classic, and his cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" is one of the most celebrated recordings in rock history. He died tragically at 30, drowning in the Mississippi River.
