The graphic design of the stories reflects the humour and the atmosphere of the stories Fimfárum, When the Leaves Fall from the Oak, Franta the Fearless, A Dream Come True, and Greedy Barka, that were recorded by Jan Werich on an LP in the 1960’s and published in a book called Fimfarum.

Jan Werich (1905–1980) was a Czech actor, writer, and cabaret artist, one of the most prominent figures of 20th-century Czech culture. Together with Jiří Voskovec he formed the duo V+W, famous for their satirical plays at the Osvobozené divadlo. He was also a beloved film actor and author of fairy tales.
Ota Jirák is a Czech actor, voice artist and TV presenter who trained in puppetry at DAMU in Prague. In Fimfárum Jana Wericha (2002) he played the live-action narrator linking the animated fairy tales, a role he reprised in Fimfárum 2 (2006).
