Vlasta Pospíšilová was a Czech animator and director who began her career in Jiří Trnka's studio. She became known for puppet animation - contributing to Jan Švankmajer's films and creating the puppet double for the TV series Pan Tau. As a director she made over 45 films, most notably Lakomá Barka, the Broučci series, and the feature Fimfárum Jana Wericha (2002), co-directed with Aurel Klimt.
