Alenka

A theatrical road movie in search of someone who has left, yet remains with us. About finding the path to adulthood, filled with mirrors, carrying Lewis Carroll's book under one's arm.

The play explores the journey to adulthood through mirrors and images, seeking the way to someone who has gone, even though they are always here. Lenka and Lenka - mother and daughter, or one and the same ALenka?

Two Lenkas with the same voice tone, connected by an umbilical cord, along which the audience travels into the Land of Wonders behind the mirror. The only guide is a heap of living memories, among which Lewis Carroll's wounded rabbits run about.

Lenka Šmídová (15. 12. 1961 - 27. 5. 2022), opera singer, voice teacher and mother, will wait behind the mirror, while her daughter Lenka stands alone on stage. Music: Eva Vrbková and quotations.
