Matěj Metoděj Štrunc | Concert

Matěj Metoděj Štrunc (*1996) is a composer of music for theatrical productions and co-founder of the folk-rock band Ateliér. He plays guitar, cimbalom, saxophone, piano, and double bass.

In his solo work, he focuses on contemporary arrangements of traditional folk songs - combining traditional instruments such as cimbalom and violin with synthesizers, percussion, and electronic sound. In 2022 he released the album Lidověk, and in 2025 Lidověk 2.0, which received critical acclaim and placed in the TOP 10 of the prestigious international World Music Charts Europe survey.
