Time Machine: Places of Memory - Competition Film Screening

How does history look through the eyes of children and young filmmakers? This screening presents a selection of 46 competition films created as part of the nationwide competition "Time Machine: Places of Memory". This year's inspiration was the Brno Great Synagogue, but participants set out to trace the past in their own towns and villages.

The screen brings together the first film attempts of primary school students alongside surprisingly mature documentaries, fiction films, and experimental works by secondary school authors. Each film is unique - yet all share a desire to understand places whose stories should not fade from our memory.
