The Silent Friend

In the heart of a botanical garden in a German university town stands a majestic ginkgo tree - an ancient mother of the garden who has survived three epochs and witnessed three human destinies. In 1908, the first female student of the university discovers incredible patterns of the universe through subtle photographs. Half a century later, a young man undergoes transformation through a simple bond with a plant. And in 2020, a neuroscientist from Hong Kong begins an unexpected experiment beneath the ginkgo's crown.
