Duo Brousek - Brzobohatý - lifelong friends and composers Ondřej Brousek and Ondřej Brzobohatý - will perform together on the stage of Hotel Palcát in Tábor.

The evening's programme is built on musical humour: how would "Fate" sound if Beethoven had been an optimist? Why do we cry at banal film dialogue? What is "inappropriate" music and can a "Piano Duel" have a winner? The answers will come through two pianos and a series of musical jokes.

The concert is performed on a W. HOFFMANN Professional P206 instrument, with C. Bechstein as the event partner - www.bechstein.com.

About the venue: Hotel Palcát

Hotel Palcát is a congress and wellness hotel on Tábor's main boulevard, a short walk from the historic old town. Its event spaces hold up to 1,200 people, making it one of the largest congress venues in South Bohemia - used for balls, conferences, trade fairs and concerts alike. The hotel also houses the Mace restaurant led by chef Martin Svatek and a wellness centre with a Finnish sauna for 30, a whirlpool and various massages. Accommodation spans 70 renovated rooms.

About: Ondřej Brousek

Born on 28 March 1981 in Prague, Ondřej Brousek is a Czech actor, musician, composer and director belonging to the renowned Brousek acting family. He completed his music-drama studies at the Prague Conservatory and has performed as keyboardist with Monkey Business since 1999, while serving as an ensemble member of Divadlo na Vinohradech from 2013 onwards. His compositional work encompasses stage music, film scores and symphonic compositions, including three symphonies premiered in Prague, Zlín and the Municipal House; he also performs with Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý in the two-piano programme "Souboj klavírů", which merges classical music with comedy and improvisation.

About: Ondřej Brzobohatý

Born on 2 February 1983 in Prague, Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý is a multifaceted Czech artist trained at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in composition, piano and conducting. The son of actor Radoslav Brzobohatý and Slovak actress Hana Gregorová, he gained initial recognition as host of the first Czech Pop Idol season in 2004. His primary focus remains composition work - creating musicals, film scores and solo recordings - alongside regular performances with symphony orchestras and partnerships with major Czech musicians.
