Frequency

Frequency is a performance by Betka Tichá that explores the physical reactions of the body and emotions responding to external and internal stimuli - and what remains hidden beneath what we see.

During the performance, Betka Tichá wears technology that monitors bodily functions: she measures her heart rate in real time, both while moving on the ground and during suspended acrobatics. Data from her body instantly connects with sound and light that respond to her physical and mental state.

The performance emerges directly from the performer's body - the audience witnesses her inner and outer world synchronized in a single image.
