Another Round

The title hints at what the story is about. There is a theory that every person should be born with a certain level of alcohol in their blood - this mild intoxication supposedly opens the mind, eases problems, and boosts creativity.

This idea intrigues Martin (Mads Mikkelsen) and his three friends, tired high school teachers who decide to test it: they maintain a level of alcohol in their blood throughout the day. The results are initially encouraging - teaching improves, the group rediscovers their zest for life, and the experiment evolves into a kind of academic research.

But when they take it too far, some have to stop. The film shows that while alcohol may have helped achieve great things in history, bold actions have their consequences.
