Young racing car Lightning McQueen unexpectedly finds himself in the sleepy town of Radiator Springs on Route 66 while heading to the Piston Cup championship. The local cars gradually show him that there are things far more important than trophies, fame, and sponsors - and that the joy of life is not found at the finish line, but along the journey.

About the venue: Bio Central

Bio Central is the last brick-and-mortar cinema in Hradec Králové, operating since 1929 under various names (Bio Slavie, Kino Jas, Kino Centrál). After a long break it reopened in December 2012. The large hall seats 384, the small hall 40. The programme covers mainstream and art-house films, live broadcasts of opera, theatre and ballet, a film club, and annual festivals such as Jeden svět, Dny evropského filmu and Cinema Open. In summer it also runs an open-air cinema at the Gayer Barracks.
