Headless Horseman: Guided Tour
GHMP House of Photography, Prague
The late 1990s - dial-up internet was a luxury, music circulated on homemade cassette mixes, and phone numbers were so scarce that people memorized them by heart.
It was then that the group Headless Horseman emerged - as a symptom of euphoria and uncertainty, and at the same time the result of four AVU students meeting. Josef Bolf, Ján Mančuška, Jan Šerých and Tomáš Vaněk entered the art scene, which was far more intimate than today's. They shared an interest in neo-avant-garde art, classical literature, science fiction and DIY - in contrast to the one-dimensional language of advertising, mainstream pop culture and the imagery of free-market spectacle.
The exhibition is curated by Sandra Baborovská and Vít Havránek. The tour on July 7, 2026 will take place in the presence of the artists.
