Náplavkőőő — Hungarian Gastronomic Festival
Rašínovo nábřeží, Prague
free entry
The Náplavkőőő gastronomic and cultural festival takes place from May 30 to June 1 on the Rašín embankment (Prague 2). Nearly forty stalls will offer hot and cold delicacies, spices, wine, and other samples of Hungarian gastronomy — goulash, paprikash, sausages, langos, and Tokaji wine. The festival exclusively features holders of the Hungarikum mark, which guarantees the authenticity of everything visitors taste or see. The programme includes live music — folk and jazz — performed by Hungarian musicians and singers, a performance by the Nyitnikék folk dance ensemble, and the opportunity to learn the basics of Hungarian folk dancing. In addition to gastronomy, the most attractive tourist destinations in Hungary will be presented: Budapest, Lake Balaton, and the famous thermal baths. The event is organized by the Liszt Institute — Hungarian Cultural Centre in Prague under the patronage of the Hungarian Embassy in Prague and the Mayor of Prague 2, Jan Korsesky. Entry to the festival is free; you only pay for purchases at individual stalls.
