I Am the Mother of Your Children, Mom

How do you break free from a cycle of crime and addiction? How do you realize that as a person you always have a choice in who you become and which path you take? How do you become the best older sibling, or perhaps a mother? How do you come to terms with the death of those you love most, yet who are most destructive - your parents? How do you simply survive it all as an abandoned child?

The protagonist guides the audience through a personal confession that comes alive on stage through dance, music, and performative storytelling. She returns to the past, embodying her parents marked by drugs and gang culture, as well as taking on the role of the eldest sibling searching for the strength to lead where functional authority is absent.

A raw and dynamic true story that doesn't remain locked in the past, but spills into the present.
