Cringe Prince, Market: Čistírna1906 Season Opening
Čistírna1906, Prague
The opening of the new season at Čistírna1906 celebrates the 120th anniversary of this architectural landmark — the Old Wastewater Treatment Plant from 1906 in Prague's Bubeneč district. The Bubeneč treatment plant has been a national cultural monument since 2010 and has held the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH) certificate since 2016, ranking it among Europe's most significant industrial heritage sites. The event marks a new chapter in the venue's evolution as it gradually opens as a space for cultural programming, gatherings, sports, history, and contemporary art. The evening's musical programme features live performances by Cringe Prince — a Czech bedroom rapper from Ústí nad Labem whose rap is full of improvisation and distinctive expression — and the band Market. The cultural and artistic direction is overseen by Petrohradská kolektiv, an artistic initiative active since 2015 that merges contemporary music with sound, visual art, performance, and distinctive spaces. Admission is voluntary (pay-what-you-wish) — not a traditional ticket, but an opportunity to contribute to artist fees, production, and venue operations.
