Petr Dvorský Quartet - Birthday Concert

Jazz Dock will host a birthday concert for double bassist Petr Dvorský, who will lead his own quartet for the first time.

The quartet's foundation consists of Petr Dvorský and Stanislav Mácha - longtime collaborators and members of the pioneering quartet The Four, which won numerous awards in the 1990s alongside saxophonist Karel Růžička Jr. The new ensemble is expanded with American drummer Jesse Simpson and Welsh saxophonist Osian Roberts.

The programme builds on the 1990s era and features compositions by Petr Dvorský and other composers (Oscar Pettiford, Sam Jones, Karel Růžička Sr.) arranged for an acoustic jazz quartet.
