The Summer When I Lost Everyone
Summer screening of a feature-length debut film by a 15-year-old director - "The Summer When I Lost Everyone."
The film evening includes a discussion with the film's authors and creators. The story follows 17-year-old Lucas (Jakub Horák), who grew up with his grandmother Dáša (Nina Kočanová) instead of his parents. After thirteen years, he travels to the countryside to stay with his estranged father Peter (Matej Landl) - their relationship is cold, and Peter's caregiver Lenka (Silvia Soldanová) tries to bring them closer. Lucas finds new friends: Charlotte (Viktória Holkovičová), Zora (Esther Pilátová), and Matias (Samuel Klinovský). His connection with Charlotte becomes more than friendship, though each of them seeks answers to life's questions in their own way.
The film explores coming of age, relationships between parents and children, and one summer that will stay with you. The narrative is unhurried, focused on emotions beneath the surface.
