Prague Dragon Boat Festival

The Prague Dragon Boat Festival is the oldest dragon boat race in the Czech Republic, held for the 29th time in 2026 in the KVS Prague boatyard on the Vltava River (Dvorce tram stop). The festival runs from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 May 2026. Friday's programme opens with the traditional Rotary Dragon Boat Charity Challenge (from 15:00), followed by an awards ceremony, party and concert (from 19:00). On Saturday 16 May, crews compete on small boats for 10 rowers; on Sunday 17 May, on standard boats for 20 rowers. Racing categories include OPEN, WOMEN, MIX, FUN and CORPORATE on sprint courses of 200 m, 1 km and 2 km. In 2026, a total of 107 crews registered in 10 categories. The festival features the 16th Rotary charity race, with proceeds supporting non-profit organisations. Spectators can watch hundreds of paddles rippling the Vltava for free from the shore.
