Flowers and Glass - Floral Design Workshop with Klára Franc Vavříková

This workshop is led by Klára Franc Vavříková, a Czech and Slovak floral design champion and Czech representative at the European Floral Design Championship in Genoa, Italy. Under her guidance, participants will create original floral arrangements in glass vessels from Czech glassmakers in the Crystal Valley.

Klára will guide you through the entire creative process - from selecting and preparing plant materials to the final arrangement. The programme includes practical creation of a seasonal bouquet following floral design principles, work with natural materials, and professional techniques. Everyone takes home their own finished arrangement.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. The price includes all materials, fresh flowers, and a vase from Crystalex or Sklárny Jílek from the basic selection. More expensive vases can be chosen and purchased at Lidové sady directly before the workshop.

The floral workshop is part of the Crystal Valley Week glass festival, taking place in Liberec from 24 to 29 August 2026. The festival includes exhibitions in the botanical garden (works by Miluše and René Roubíček, Jiří Pačinka and Lukáš Jabůrek), a new exhibition "A JE TO!" by Maxim Velčovský, the Lasvit Splash exhibition and exhibitions dedicated to Czech glass beads. The programme also includes Crystal Boxes in the streets and a Crystal Tram.
