To mark 30 years of sister-city cooperation between Prague and Kyoto, Kyoto star Motohiko Shigeyama and the Kyogen Theatre, which has been active in the Czech Republic since 2000, will perform together.

Audiences can look forward to three classic plays, including the comedy "Tied to a Pole" in a bilingual performance.

Divadlo ABC is a drama theatre housed in the Palác U Nováků on Vodičkova Street in Prague 1, and forms part of Prague City Theatres (Městská divadla pražská). The building dates from the late 1920s and hosted the celebrated Osvobozené divadlo V+W from 1929 to 1938. The main auditorium seats 482, while a small stage is used for literary matinees and educational programmes. The repertoire spans Czech and international drama, adaptations of classic works, and musical productions.
