Obyvatelé cihlového domu is a Prague-based band built on a combination of piano, heavily distorted bass, punk-metal drums, and urgent female vocals. Their Czech-language lyrics explore dark corners of the world and the soul with a wry, slightly morbid perspective.

The band's music weaves together influences from metal, jazz, and progressive rock: four-four time alternates with nine-eight or seven-eight signatures, delicate passages contrast with heavy ones, and the vocals are occasionally punctuated by growls, screams, or scat. The band recorded their self-titled debut at DINN IS NOT NOISE studio in Brno under the production guidance of Tomáš Vtípil; the cover art was created by Prague visual artist Putrid Girl.
