Reynek_Renaud - Dreams from Petrkov

A poetic theatrical performance about the lives of poet Bohuslav Reynek and poetess Suzanne Renaud.

The production was created specifically for Werichova vila. It draws from sources about Suzanne Renaud's life and her husband Bohuslav Reynek - a painter and poet - and their poetic work. The central inspiration is their shared life on the Petrkov estate in the Vysočina region.

The evening explores several themes: differences in temperament, mutual inspiration, the pain of losing their home in France, and displacement in an unfree country. The poetry of both personalities and dramatic-prose text form the narrative thread of a multi-genre performance that combines dance, music, and visual elements.
