Zorba že ja Buddha is an original project by bassist Ondřej Hauser and Slovak-American vocalist Ashley Abrman, who met as fellow students at the conservatory. Their music blends alternative jazz, electronics, and hip-hop.

The band released their debut EP "Rosedoud Lambada" (2017) with 9 tracks, and in October 2021 added the online album "Organ Chaos", featuring contributions from Igor Ochepovsky, Petr Kalfus, Miroslav Hloucal, Pavel Zlámal, Dalibor Mráz, and other musicians.

At the Jazz Dock concert, the lineup will include: Ashley Sarah Abrman - vocals, Jan Aleš - organ, Jen Hovorka - synthesizers, Ondřej Hauser - bass, Michal "Kolouch" Daněk - drums, Marek Urbánek - drums.

About the venue: Jazz Dock

Jazz Dock is a design jazz club opened in 2009 on the banks of the Vltava river in Prague's Smíchov district, opposite Children's Island. It regularly hosts concerts of jazz, funk, soul, blues and world music, as well as its own festivals. The interior was designed by architects Ivan Sládek and Jaroslav Ourecký; a rooftop terrace is open in summer. The venue also includes a bar and restaurant.

About: Ondřej Hauser

Prague bassist Ondřej Hauser is the driving force behind Zorba že ja Buddha, where he and singer Ashley Abrman blend jazz, electronics and hip-hop into a sound all their own. The band plays festivals including Czech Radio Jazz Fest and Jazz Fest Brno, while Hauser also anchors the live rhythm section of Prago Union.
