From May to September 2026, visitors can freely visit selected sacred monuments in the Zlín Region as part of the Open Gates project.

The project has been operating in the Zlín Region since 2009 and aims to make artistically and historically valuable churches and chapels accessible to the general public.

About the venue: Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie

The Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Kroměříž forms part of the Archbishop's Château complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its massive tower and richly decorated interior make it one of the town's most prominent landmarks. The church hosts regular services as well as occasional classical music concerts.
