Sunday Dixie: Metropolitan Jazz Band & Eva Emingerová

As part of the Sunday Dixie series, Metropolitan Jazz Band performs with Eva Emingerová.

Metropolitan Jazz Band Prague, led by trumpeter Josef Krajník, was founded in 1972. From its original dixieland focus, the orchestra has gradually evolved into an ensemble whose repertoire extends into mainstream jazz. Despite changes in personnel, the MJB sound remains distinctive - particularly through Krajník's trumpet playing, which draws from the legacy of Louis Armstrong, Roy Eldridge, and others.
