Little Sister

Seventeen-year-old Fatima, the youngest of three sisters, searches for her own path between awakening desires, attraction to women, and loyalty to her caring French-Algerian family. She begins studying at a Paris university, goes on dates, makes friends, and discovers a new world - all while grappling with the question of whether she can remain true to herself when different parts of her identity seem incompatible.

Director Hafsia Herzi's film rests on powerful performances and navigates with sensitivity the fragile space of inner conflict between sexuality and religion.
