Tomorrow I'll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea

The screenplay for the sci-fi comedy "Tomorrow I'll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea" was written in 1977 by Jindřích Polák and Miloš Macourek, based on a short story by Josef Nesvadba. Polák, the creator of "Ikarie XB1", brought his directorial lightness to the project, while Macourek contributed screenwriting ingenuity - and their combination is evident in the result. The plot takes place in the future, where time-travel tourism is a common attraction. Cinematographer Jan Kališ had to contend with both the evocation of different time periods and the film's special effects.

The film's charm is largely carried by its cast. Petr Kostka handles the lead dual role, supported in Nazi villain parts by Vlastimil Brodský, Jiří Sovák, and Vladimír Menšík. The role of an American tourist went to Polák's "Mr. Tau" - Otto Šimánek.
