Čistírna1906 Live: Petra Hermanová

Petra Hermanová was born in 1987 in Valašské Meziříčí and studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno under Václav Stratil in the Intermedia Studio. She currently lives in Berlin. Her diploma work Spal to, co netvoje received a nomination for the StartPoint 2012 award.

During her studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Hermanová founded the music project Fiordmoss. With their first EP Gliese (2010), the band represented the Czech Republic at the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid. Their second EP Ink Bitten was released in 2012 - Fiordmoss became Discovery of the Year in the Vinyl poll that year. The album Kingdom Come (2017) won the Anděl Award for Best Electronic Album of the Year from the Czech Academy of Popular Music.

Beyond music, Hermanová works in video art and animation. She has created music videos for artists such as Dikolson, Glen Hansard, and Markéta Irglová, and produces animated projections for concerts by Norwegian electronic projects Frost, Boska, and Mental Overdrive. Her work has been presented at the Sónar festival in Stockholm, the International Film Festival in Tromsø, and the CYNETART digital art festival in Dresden. Currently, she works with animation in various contexts - in installations and with crossovers into fashion and music.
