Audiophile Session with Floex and Jan Šikl

The album Directors by Floex and Jan Šikl, performed by Floex Ensemble, was created at Studio Martínek and will be officially released in autumn - its premiere at Archa+ is scheduled for November 8. The Audiophile Session on August 20 offers a chance to hear it nearly two months before release, through the studio's high-end speakers and with commentary from the creators themselves.

The moderated listening evening will be hosted by Dan Sywala (ČTart.cz, ČRo Jazz, Full Moon). Behind-the-scenes stories about the album's creation and recording details will be shared; attendance is strictly limited.

Directors merges the world of analog synthesizers with an acoustic sextet. This conceptual album explores different ways of perceiving reality and the creative process through imaginary "directors", each representing a distinct perspective on music and the world.

Floex Ensemble originally emerged as an occasional project for live performances of Floex's soundtracks. Through long-term collaboration with composer and conductor Jan Šikl, it has evolved into an autonomous creative group - and this album officially marks the beginning of a new chapter in its existence.
