Voxpot Summer Party: Krize live, concerts, DJs

Voxpot's summer party takes place on 20 August 2026 from 19:00 at Bike Jesus in Prague on Štvanice Island.

The evening opens with a live recording of the Krize podcast: sociologist Daniel Prokop and researcher Klára Votavová will discuss the role of oligarchs and big capital in the Czech economy, why reforms for fairer growth are difficult to implement, and why performative toughness wins out over long-term vision. Moderated by Vojtěch Boháč.

After the debate, two bands will perform. First up is Čáry života - a singer-songwriter project by Jan Boroš (Fiordmoss, Tichonov) in a duo with Gabrielle Wildfeuer. They will present songs from their debut album Stínítko and the follow-up album Sluníčko. The second band is the Prague collective i s tebou, blending alternative pop and bedroom trap with influences from folk, post-punk, and experimental electronics; their debut EP sns léto was released in 2021 on the Bad Names label. One of the performing bands includes members of the Voxpot editorial team. DJs will provide music into the late hours. Voxpot merchandise will also be available.
