Budapest 1957

A year after the brutal suppression of the uprising against the communist regime, the world of young Jewish boy Andor turns upside down. As battered Hungary prepares for the grand May Day celebrations, a man claiming to be his true father enters Andor's life.

The film was directed by László Nemes, an Oscar winner for the film Son of Saul - this time focusing on the collapse of one family against the backdrop of a fractured society.
