Fallen Fruit

Director Aung Phyoe's debut follows two young women working in a textile factory in industrial Rangoon, where they face work exhaustion, social oppression, and economic uncertainty. Yet both continue to yearn for closeness and escape from the harsh rhythm of everyday life.

As they draw near to each other, long-suppressed emotions begin to awaken within them. The film unfolds in shades of silence, small gestures, and unspoken desires, asking how female longing survives in a country where intimacy and love between women remain socially unacceptable.
