The Secret of the Crystal Planet

Eleven-year-old Rea moves with her father to a newly settled planet following a family tragedy. Her father takes a job at a replication factory. Rea meets Andy, and together they discover an underground world whose existence people never suspected. When they find a lonely young creature of a rare species, they decide to protect it from a greedy governor who wants to exploit the animal for his own gain.
