Tribute to Hana Hegerova on the Vltava River — Cargo Gallery, Prague

A musical tribute to Hana Hegerova - the first lady of Czechoslovak chanson - performed by Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova. The programme features twenty-five chansons and two hours of memories: "Barova lavice", "Boze muj", "Milord", "Potmesily host", "Ceresne" and other songs from her repertoire.

The concert has already been performed to packed houses in Ostrava, Podebrady, Kutna Hora, Nachod, in the Vypustek cave, at the Church of Saints Simon and Jude in Prague (FOK), and in the amphitheatre in Olomouc.

Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova is a singer with a deep, velvety voice. She does not imitate Hana, but breathes new life into her songs. Jana Otahalova plays piano. Jakub Nemec plays percussion.

"Hana Hegerova cannot be imitated. One can only extend the life of her work and regard it with respect. Long live Hegerova."
