Noise Kitchen Open Jam #27
Kino Petrohradská – Temporary Club, Prague
Choose your sound, find the glitch, and play with it.
Noise Kitchen Open Jam is a live music (and generally creative) playground open to everyone - experienced musicians and complete beginners alike. Come play musical (and non-musical) instruments, experiment with visuals and lights, draw, or simply listen and meet new people. Feel free to bring your own instrument - and if you don't have one, there will be some available to borrow.
Practical information before you come:
- The jam focuses on synthesizers, but acoustic and amplified instruments are welcome. Setup time is limited and mixer slots are few - arrive early.
- We'll divide the jam into segments of roughly 45 minutes each to give more people a chance to play. A maximum of 5-6 players perform at once; we'll try to do 2-3 rounds, but we can't guarantee a spot for everyone.
- Synchronization is optional - before each segment we'll discuss whether we're playing with a clock or without. Bring MIDI cables, hardware utilities, or long sync cables if you want and have them.
- Bring your own cables if you can.
- If you want to add live improvised visuals, write ahead to the contact below.
- Entry: voluntary contribution - collected funds go toward cables, batteries, and other equipment for Noise Kitchen Jams and Workshops.
If you know you're coming, or want to discuss details, write to: hi@noise.kitchen. Last-minute decisions are also fine.
The event is created in collaboration with Petrohradská collective. We thank Bastl Instruments for their ongoing support.
