Summer Cinema at Zvon: Hundreds of Beavers

GHMP in collaboration with bar Zvon and Aerofilms presents summer cinema in the shaded courtyard of the House at the Stone Bell, right on Old Town Square. The screening is part of the accompanying programme for the exhibition "Headless Horseman / Bolf Mančuška Šerých Vaněk".

A fruit schnapps distiller loses everything, finds himself bare-bottomed in the wilderness, and must work his way up to become the greatest woodsman around - all while battling not just the elements but hundreds of beavers. Told through video-game language, this survival story revives the genre of silent grotesques: instead of DiCaprio, a modern Buster Keaton fights for survival here, with his animal adversaries played by people in full-body plush costumes in the style of Studio Kamarád.

The film is the work of Rylan Brickson Cole Tewse and Mike Cheslik. This indie sensation of international genre festivals earned enthusiastic responses at its Czech premiere during the Festival of the Hardened Viewer.
