Roman Krejčí | Classical Guitar Concert
Mon, 31 Aug 2026 · 19:00
An evening of classical guitar dedicated to the music of South America - a space where, over centuries, the influences of indigenous peoples, European colonizers, and African slaves have intermingled. Music is the most striking result of this cultural encounter.
Argentinian Jorge Cardoso captured in his compositions what is most characteristic of individual South American countries. Uruguayan Abel Carlevaro took a different path: his slightly avant-garde American Preludes draw from the deepest foundations of American music.
The programme is completed by stylistically distinct yet atmospherically kindred compositions by Milan Tesař and the expressively restrained works of Portuguese composer Ricardo Abreu.
