Red Bull 400 returns to Ještěd after five years

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, more than a thousand runners will line up at the ski jump in Liberec. They face 400 meters of climbing up a slope with a gradient of up to 35% - one of the most challenging courses in this format. The race is open to everyone over 18 years old regardless of fitness level; both experienced athletes and amateurs compete. This year's starting line will include Eva Adamczyková, Martin Fuksa, and Maxim Habanec, among others.

Race format

Individual categories (men, women) are run through qualifying heats over the full 400-meter distance - winners advance directly to the final, with remaining finalists selected by time. 4 × 100-meter relays (men's, women's, and mixed teams) go straight to the final without qualifying.

Registration and entry fee

Registration opens on May 19 at 12:00 on redbull.cz/400. The entry fee is 1,590 CZK for individuals and 2,590 CZK for a four-person relay team. At the last Czech edition, over 1,200 runners participated, and spots filled quickly.

Red Bull 400 Challenge on Strava

A new feature this year is the Strava platform challenge, running from April 27 to May 17, 2026. The task is to climb a total of 1,200 meters of elevation over three weeks - participants who complete it receive a 400 CZK discount on individual entry fees.

Red Bull 400 takes place annually on ski jumps in several European countries and beyond (Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Poland, and others), always in the same format - 400 meters up a steep slope.
